The Heart Behind the Lens

West Michigan Based Photographer who calls Grand Haven Home.

Hi, I’m Ona Faye — a West Michigan–based photographer passionate about capturing love, life, and all the little moments in between. I first discovered my love for photography at thirteen when a kind neighbor let me borrow her camera, and in 2019 I officially turned that passion into my business. Since then, I’ve had the honor of photographing weddings, families, seniors, and adventure sessions, creating images that feel natural, timeless, and true to each story. My heart behind the camera is simple: to make you feel comfortable, celebrated, and seen while preserving memories you’ll treasure for years to come.

Who I Am Outside of Photography

Coffee is my love language — you’ll usually find me with a mug in hand.

I’m a proud dog mom to Blueberry, my sweet English Cream Golden Retriever.

I feel most at home outdoors — whether it’s hiking, adventuring, or just soaking up the fresh air.

I’m married to my best friend, and together we love finding little adventures in everyday life.

I’m always chasing good light and genuine laughter.

Rooted in My Story

Beyond Portaits

Along with portraits and weddings, I also offer product and business photography to help brands showcase their work beautifully. My love for photography has always been rooted in seeing the beauty of God’s creation — something I first learned on my grandparents’ farm. Having grown up in the blueberry industry and now continuing to work alongside my husband’s family on their farm, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing many different roles in agriculture. That background has given me a deep appreciation for hard work, community, and capturing stories both big and small through my lens.

FAQ

Do you travel for photoshoots?

Absolutely!

Meeting new people and exploring new places is one of my favorite parts of this work. I’m always happy to bring my camera on the road for your session. (Please note: travel fees apply for locations beyond 1 hour from Grand Haven, MI.)

What should we wear for our session?

Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and confident! I always recommend choosing outfits that reflect your personality and that you can move and relax in. Neutrals and coordinating colors photograph beautifully, but the most important thing is that you feel like you.

How long does it take to get our photos?

Weddings: Full wedding galleries are typically delivered within 6–10 weeks, depending on the season and volume of editing. You’ll always receive a sneak peek within the first week so you have a little something to enjoy while you wait.

Portrait Sessions (families, couples, seniors, etc.): Full galleries are usually delivered within 4–6 weeks. Sneak peeks are also shared earlier so you can start enjoying your photos right away.

Do you offer albums or prints?

All of your photos will be delivered through a private online gallery, where you can view, share, and download them directly to your own devices. I don’t currently offer prints, but you’ll have full access to your digital images to save and enjoy however you’d like.
